Global Risks in a Geopolitically Fragmented World.

Public lecture
18 September 2026 · 6.15 – 7.15 p.m. · University of Zurich

Global risks are rising markedly in an increasingly fragmented world order: growing debt, geopolitical tensions and new technological vulnerabilities are putting the stability of the world economy to the test. The economist Prof. Dr Carmen Reinhart, Minos A. Zombanakis Professor of the International Financial System at the Harvard Kennedy School, is one of the leading experts on financial crises. In Reichmuth & Co Lecture No. 28 she combines historical insight with current developments and sets out the challenges and lessons that follow for politics and markets.

The event is organised jointly by the MAS in Applied History at the University of Zurich, Reichmuth & Co Privatbankiers and the IWP.

The lecture is held in English. Admission is free; registration is requested.

Venue: Alte Aula, KOL-G-201, University of Zurich, Rämistrasse 71, 8001 Zurich
