Migration, Assimilation and Social Cohesion

Migration, Assimilation and Social Cohesion

Perspectives on Integration, Identity and the Future of Western Societies

Society for Progress in Freedom e.V. is pleased to welcome Professor Eric Kaufmann for an online lecture and discussion.

Migration is one of the defining issues of our time. How can societies maintain social trust and cohesion while remaining open and dynamic? What role do assimilation, education, labour markets, language and shared institutions play in successful integration? What are the long-term consequences when these processes succeed—or fail?

Drawing on decades of research, Professor Kaufmann will explore the relationship between migration, identity, integration and social stability.

The lecture will be followed by an opportunity for questions and discussion.
